Meet the Head Coach

Hi, I’m Morgan, owner of Ridgeline Physical Therapy and creator of Ridgeline Performance. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Functional Strength Coach, and outdoor enthusiast myself, I understand first hand the need to be outdoors, after all I did name my business after mountains. If it were up to me, I’d be on the trail every day either hiking, skiing, mountain biking, or running.

However, I have also experienced and seen the benefit of consistent, simple strength training on reducing injury, improving performance, and limiting recovery time. It doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective.

I get that you don’t want to spend excessive time in the gym or be sore for your adventures. So after years of working with successful outdoor athletes to incorporate strength one-on-one, I wanted to be able to help more people like you and me. The end result is this program, Ridgeline Performance, that will allow you to include strength and mobility training in a way that fits into your life.

Let’s all lift to live.

Assistant Coach

Hi I’m Sarah! I’m so excited to be be a part of the Ridgeline Performance coaching team. I’ve been a climber for over a decade and started coaching in 2017. Strength training has made a huge difference for me and the athletes I’ve coached. I am a Certified Functional Strength Coach and am currently finishing up my final year of physical therapy school at Tufts University. You can usually find me running, biking, or paddling somewhere in the Northeast. When I’m not on a trail I love helping folks learn about their bodies, get strong and do more of what they love!

You’ve got questions, I’ve got answers

  • Yes, the program requires some form of resistance equipment. There will be options for barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, or band resistance. However, since it is strength based, access to HEAVY weights (and not just bands) will be necessary after the first month. A full equipment list will be provided upon sign up with brand suggestions.

  • The program is flexible and can be performed at home or at the gym, as long a you have access to weights heavy enough to progressively challenge you. This means more than just bands…

  • Ridgeline Performance is delivered through an easy-to-use phone app platform called Everfit. You’ll receive access to workout plans, video demonstrations, and progress tracking tools as well as so much more. Check the details out above!

  • Although this program is not individualized, you will receive support and accountability within the app interface from coaches. There will be form check availability for lifts as well as options for modifications as needed.

  • This program is definitely approachable for those newer to strength training using a gradually progressive loading protocol that is both safe and effective. Clear instructions, video demonstrations, and access to coaching feedback are all included.

  • Although this program is created by a physical therapist and strength coach, there is not specific adjustments available to the programming for rehabbing the injury. However, there are modifications within the program to continue training with decreased load. There is also the option to have a discounted video or in-person consult with Morgan, head coach and physical therapist, to help guide full return to the strength program and more importantly, your favorite activity on the trail.

  • The app interface offers incredibly straight forward and effective ways to track progress by recording weights lifted each time. After the first phase of foundational strength building, some performance testing will be implemented to further assess progress if interested.
